Key Responsibilities
Minimum of 10 years’ experience
Experience with SANRAL and RAL projects
Registered with any other professional body recognised in Construction
Sector
An understanding of the construction industry
An understanding of legal documentation
Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process for a number of
multi-discipline projects
Must have a valid Driver’s Licence
Requirements
Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
Developing and presenting project proposals
Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.
Overseeing the planning of projects and ensuring that they are programmed to a certain level of detail
Making sure that the procurement and reconciliation of materials are executed accordingly and accurately
Examining and/or assessing risks and coming up with suggestions and recommendations through which they can be minimized
Carrying out thorough research on legislation and regulations to make sure that contracts are current and in compliance.
Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
Discussing budgets and timescales with the clients
Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business contracts
Managing construction schedules and budgets
Dealing with any unexpected costs
Attending site meetings to monitor progress
Acting as the main point of contract for clients, site, and project managers
Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understand their roles and responsibilities
Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and the client’s own representatives
Overseeing invoicing at the end of a project
Working on-site and in an office
Weekly planning including meetings with site staff
Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
Constantly follow up on contracts in progress, potential new deals and renewals and provide support where necessary.
Set agenda for standardized work methods and improvement activities and manage resources within the same department.
