Key Responsibilities
BEng (Civil Engineering), BSc (Civil Engineering), National Diploma (Civil Engineering), B-Tech in Civil Engineering (Note that no other qualifications will be considered).
Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a Site Agent.
Registered with ECSA / SACPCMP an advantage.
Working experience with CCS Candy.
Requirements
Workflow management.
Supervision, coordination, and monitoring of sub-contractors’performance.
Assist with pricing, programming, and on-site operations.
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations andgood building practice.
Onsite management of multiple contracts works producing safetydocumentation method statements and quality plans.
Chase cost reduction and efficiency initiatives with site teams.
Progress reporting to the Contracts Manager.
Site Set up and documentation preparation.
Communicate contract and client requirements to siteengineers/supervisors & teams onsite.
Ensuring all site activities are running smoothly and to schedule.
Ensure contract profitability
Management of subcontractors, review and sign off payment certificates, review timesheets and set production targets.
Ensure that monthly payment applications are submitted on time
Finalisation of contracts and short-term programmes
Monitor work progress against the programme through weeklyproduction and cost meetings with all the relevant staff members
Liaise with General Foreman, Foreman, and Contract Manager regardingproduction requirements
Monitor production and allowable targets, initiating corrective actionwhere these are not being met, in conjunction with the Contract Manager
Manage, supervise, and inspect contractors’ work on site
Ensure thorough application of all contractual obligations
Ensure appropriate safe-keeping and distribution of related records
Ensure compilation of the Quality Site Implementation File
Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety Legislation and site rules
Detect and analyse all non-conformances, communicate this to the Contract Manager and initiate corrective action
Inspection of PPE, implementation of method statements and assisting in the carrying out of risk assessments
